Having tied in with the music all the time since his youth, Gadi Mitrani is my next guest for the interview series.
Having a performance history from house parties to the prominent night clubs, Mitrani is one of the well-known names in the music scene of Turkey. His sets combined with house, tech-house and progressive house are loved a lot. During his career, he was supported by many major names and he lived in amazing places like New York. You can listen him every Saturday at 9PM on FG 93.7
He also released an EP called “Ocean Breeze” on last January. In this EP, there are 4 tracks.
Besides, he is one of the names to perform within Electronica Festival. As you know the festival is going to be held between 25-26 May. Before this event, I had a chance to talk with Gadi Mitrani about music and his career.

Hello, firstly thanks for accepting my interview request. Could you tell about yourself? How long have you been in the music field?
Thanks. As far as I know myself, listening music has always been my favourite thing. I started DJing by playing in house parties of my friends during tape times, then I developed it and I started to practice with turntable at home. I met with house music when I was 13 and I started to be interested in electronic music more and more every passing day.
Which music genre do you love the most?
I play deep house, progressive house, tech-house when I’m on the decks but the music I play depends on the place and the audience.
During your career, what was your “peak moment” for you? Could you share it with us if you have a moment like this?
My track called “Key of Stillness” was a major step for my career, it was released in 2015 on Kompakt KX. Since after this track my tracks were released by many prominent music labels and these tracks were supported by major names.
You performed in various places around the world, which was the most special one for you? And which place?
The period when I was DJing at WMC Miami and besides sharing the decks with Guy J at Maia – Çeşme on 28th of Juley means a lot for me.
Lastly, you are one of the names to perform within Electronica Festival Çeşme during bayram. What do you think about this festival?
FG organizes Electronica Festival since the year 2004 and this team succeeds in organizing festivals steadily. The level of the quality of the music and the organization is high. I think that this is the best team in this field. It is really an honor to be a part of this team. Besides, I am really excited to share the decks with Guy Mantzur who is one of the DJs and producers that I love.
